About Seniors Fitness
Seniors Fitness is a clinical gym-based exercise physiology clinic offering a diverse range of treatments for chronic injuries, diseases and illnesses for 55yrs+*.
Unlike any ordinary gym, Seniors Fitness is run by Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEP) who hold, at a minimum, a 4-year bachelor degree, developing the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people who have acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries and disabilities.
AEPs are allied-health professionals with Medicare Provider numbers and are trained members of the health and medical sector. You are able to claim from your private health fund if you are covered for item numbers 502, 102 and 202. Please check with your health fund to see if you can claim.
Chronic Disease Management Plans are accepted among other Medicare Rebates, however you will need to discuss with your General Practitioner (GP) to discuss whether you are eligible. This is formerly known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC). Generally you will need to book in for an extended appointment with your GP, so please ask the receptionist when you call to book in.
